To join in your southern themed turkey dinner we suggest Collard Greens and some Butter Beans. This is a nice quick and easy side dish you can make with our Southern Style Turkey.
Ingredients;
- 1 tblsp Unsalted butter
- 4 oz smoked ham shoulder, diced
- 1 bunch of collard greens stemmed and chopped. (1 bunch should be about 1 1/2 pounds)
- 1 can of butter beans, drain and rinse them. (Can should be 15.5 oz)
- 1/4 tsp salt.
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
In a large skillet melt the butter over a medium heat. Add the ham and cook for 3 minutes. Stir in your greens and saute for 12 minutes. Mix in the beans along with the salt and pepper and cook 2-3 minutes or until heated through.
