While your turkey is frying in the pot, you can make your Southern Style Deep Fried Turkey Gravy. The ingredients are what was left from our Southern Deep Fried Turkey recipe. Start with a medium pot, put the remaining 2 tblsp’s of butter over medium heat. Stir in the giblets and saute for 3 minutes. Then stir in the garlic and cook for 2 minutes. Stir in the flour and cook for 1 minute. Whisk in the stock and remaining 1/4 cup of the flavored tea. Cover and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat to a simmer and cook for 10 minutes then till thickened. Stir in the remaining 1/2 tsp of salt and 1/8th tsp pepper. Keep covered on a very low heat until the turkey is ready.
